City Overview
Chiang Mai is located in northern Thailand, and is the main city in the north and the capital of the province. The city flourished as an important religious, cultural and commercial hub. Chiang Mai is also called the Rose of the North, because of its festivals, temples, beautiful scenery, distinctive food and a cool climate in winter.
