It is however advisable to pre book an accommodation on this island as it is most of the time pretty busy. In low season you can go to the island without booking and look for a nice resort or bungalow. Prices are mostly cheaper this way and you have the option to view the accommodation first before you pay. This is particularly true for high season which is from October to February.
On the boat to Koh Phi Phi you will meet people who will already offer you accommodations in Phi Phi and also on arrival at the port it can be sometimes hectic with people trying to sell you rooms and bungalows on the spot. If you pre book your hotel you do not have to wait and can ask for directions if you like. If you did not pre book you can have a look what the travel operators at the port have available or you can have a look at the resort first before you book. These bungalows are offering you a spectacular view from the island.
